Holes

The first time I went to Whidbey Island, 11 years ago or so, I brought with me my completely manual, bare bones, no computer chip in sight, Yashika film camera. I shot all black and white film of varying brands and speeds. I carried a brand new note book in which I recored each frame, the film specs, exposures, weather conditions ......
Keith and I went to South Whidbey State Park and Fort Casey. It was off season, fall or early spring, I can't remember which. At Fort Casey, along with the photos of nets and guns, I fixated on holes. None of the hole photos came out well.
Last week I went to Fort Casey. I hadn't been there in 11 years or so. I don't know if it was my memory of my first trip or some obvious prevalence of holes, but I was compelled to try again .... this time with my Nikon fully digital no film in sight camera.

little of both ... I guess there is something to be said for some years of experience.
