So I did some quick still life tests with the stuff in reach on my desk. This needs some exploration ... I don't really know where it is going if anywhere. Incidentally, the 'things' on the top are some thorns from an odd plant. Their antler like quality drew me to them. Also the fact that they were smooth and begged to be touched even though they are thorns.
I felt like they could be of use in the same way Reino's bones are (reinoart.blogspot.com) .... just more to explore.

oooo, maybe you could do the bugs on a stratego board or on game boards in general.
